On the campus of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Garching, a ProStock hall was transformed into a state-of-the-art lecture hall in just 14 days. With its high-quality interior and familiar comforts, the new space matches the standards of any traditional building. Outfitted with sandwich panels for the roof and walls, multiple doors, and ramps, this hall goes far beyond a typical temporary solution.
The structure’s two internal gable walls (15/420 × 95m) serve a dual purpose: separating the two lecture halls and housing a technical room that powers the entire building. To ensure safety, Losberger De Boer’s team installed strategically placed smoke and heat extraction (SHE) skylights, completing the project with precision and attention to detail.
2. Application 2: Deluxe Storage Expansion
Losberger De Boer provided a ProStock hall to quickly expand the storage capacity of a food manufacturer in Lower Saxony. During a portfolio transition, Warmsener Spezialitäten GmbH required additional storage space for packaging materials for a period of 36 months to relieve pressure on their dry and cold storage facilities.
In July 2023, Losberger De Boer’s skilled team began assembling the 25 × 25-meter temporary structure, carefully placing it on foundations to accommodate future paving work planned for the interior. The 7-meter-high hall was constructed with durable trapezoidal steel walls, a thermally insulated roof made of Thermoplane, and an electric roller door to ensure high levels of security.
Warmsener Spezialitäten praised the seamless communication, swift construction process, and prompt support for technical issues. These factors contributed to a highly successful collaboration with Losberger De Boer.
