High-end hospitality buildings on uneven terrain? We've got you covered!

Last September 2023, Losberger De Boer participated in the Solheim Cup, a prestigious women's golf tournament that pits teams from Europe and the United States against each other. The event took place at the Finca Cortesín Golf Club in Casares (Málaga), where our project focused on constructing hospitality areas for both the public and VIPs. In collaboration with our clients Deporte & Business and Jet Set Sports, we designed and built two turnkey spaces spanning two floors. A total of 3,400m2 of space with a distinct Mediterranean look and feel, seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings of the golf course.

Logistical Challenges and Terrain Adaptation

The golf course environment presented considerable gradients, with height differences of up to 4 meters in the construction areas. This topographical challenge required meticulous planning to ensure the stability of the structures and minimize any impact on the surrounding course. Our team implemented innovative engineering solutions to level the terrain and secure a solid foundation for the structures.

Additionally, restricted access for trailers and heavy machinery posed significant logistical challenges. To overcome this limitation, we implemented an efficient transportation system involving smaller shuttle trucks for material distribution on the golf course. Precise coordination and careful logistics ensured that materials arrived on time and in perfect condition, despite access restrictions.

Moreover, linked to accessibility limitations, the two-story construction solution had to be assembled without the need for a crane. The modular system employed, Premier® Solution, allows for construction without heavy machinery, enabling the construction of a two-story structure at a height of 4 meters without the need for a crane.

Efficient Assembly and Disassembly

The assembly and disassembly of the structures were carried out within the established timeframe, despite the inherent challenges of working in an active environment such as a golf course during a major event. Rigorous safety measures were implemented to ensure the integrity of the playing areas and the safety of our team and other workers.

The team worked in adverse weather conditions, including the intense heat characteristic of the region during the months of August and September. Heat mitigation measures, such as ample water supply, ice, and cooling, were provided to keep workers hydrated and safe during working hours.

The successful execution of the project resulted in a high level of satisfaction among both the client and event attendees. The quality of our temporary infrastructure and attention to detail in every aspect of design and execution were widely praised. The European team's victory in the tournament added an additional touch of success to the event, contributing to the positive atmosphere and overall high level of satisfaction.
