Safety first: nobilia hosts 75th exhibition in our Covid-proof space solutions
From 19 to 28 September, the anniversary exhibition of the East Westphalian kitchen manufacturer nobilia took place under the motto "Yesterday. Now. Tomorrow.”, in the company's own exhibition center in Verl.
Most company anniversaries this year had to do without a proper celebration or exhibition. Not so with the 75th birthday of the largest kitchen manufacturer in Europe. Because after intensive preparations, this year's nobilia in-house exhibition was able to take place on 7.000 m² and with almost 3.000 guests.
Michael Klein, Managing Director of nobilia-Werke, explains how the decision to hold Germany's first live event of this magnitude since the pandemic came about: "We then made this decision in the middle of the deepest Corona period and said: Yes, we'll do it. Quite confidently, in the hope, certainty and belief that somehow we would make it work."
In order to meet all legal requirements and regulations, nobilia sought support from the live communication agency Marbet. Michael Klein looks back on the joint journey, from planning to implementation of the event, with a sense of satisfaction: "We did it by working out a very comprehensive safety and hygiene concept, of course, together with Marbet, together with Marbet's partners. That was really a great collaboration, which was a lot of fun."
Corona-compliant catering
Part of the nearly 200-page concept included the design of a Corona-compliant catering situation. As part of this, Marbet commissioned Losberger De Boer to provide a custom-built large-volume Delta Vista hall with a side height of 6 m and a built-in roof ventilation system to provide a permanent supply of fresh air.
In addition to catering, several other areas were expanded with mobile space solutions. These included a meeting room, sanitary facilities, recreation rooms for the crew and the accreditation area, which was realised with a 55 m long Anova hall. In total, the Losberger De Boer installation team erected 3,100 m² of mobile space solutions within two weeks. "We are very proud to have been able to help Nobilia host this event and it shows that with the right planning and partners, events can be held under the current constraints," said Frank Schulze-Borgmühl of Losberger De Boer.
