Our promises to you
Losberger De Boer is committed to protecting the environment, and ensuring fair trade and decent working conditions for people across the globe.
In 2021, Losberger De Boer CEO Arnout de Hair officially announced four major targets in the field of CSR and sustainability. Each of these are ambitious, as well as binding. This makes them more than just ‘targets’. These are our promises to you, to your family, to your business, to the world.
Every single part of the whole, worldwide Losberger De Boer Group, is committed to realizing the following climate goals:
- A 100% paperless office in 2023
- A 100% single-use plastic free business in 2024
- All additions to car fleet fully green from 2025
- Completely carbon neutral company by 2030
Recent developments
Losberger De Boer has a long history of safe and sustainable operations. We want to be a leader in our industry and are dedicated to continuously improve our performance in these areas. Over the past two decades, we have taken numerous successful steps to continuously reduce our ecological footprint, which has resulted, among other things, in being ISO 14001 certified in 2010. We have developed more sustainable parts and products, have optimized our transport and we have invested across the board in a more sustainable operation.
Three major steps
In 2021 and 2022, we have taken three big, important steps. One of them is formalizing our goals and making them binding, for the entire Losberger De Boer Group. We did this to ensure that reaching our sustainability targets is a top priority for every business unit and for every employee at Losberger De Boer.
Another step was taken in 2021: having our performance measured by the world-class experts of EcoVadis.
Losberger De Boer’s rental division awarded EcoVadis Silver Medal
In addition to the various improvement programmes running across the organisation, we have joined the EcoVadis platform. Our objective is to measure the quality of our CSR management system through our policies, actions and results.
EcoVadis is an independent, international platform that evaluates companies based on four areas of their CSR policies: environmental impact, working conditions, fair trade practices and sustainable purchasing policy. EcoVadis carried out a baseline measurement of our rental division in September 2021, and we are proud to say we were immediately granted the Silver Medal in recognition of our good scores for our environmental process, as well as our labour & human rights policies. This recognition stimulates our organisation to continue to work on improving our performance across all processes and all divisions.
At the same time, the EcoVadis ratings come with solid advice on how to improve in all aspects of our work. Since receiving our first rating, departments throughout the group have begun working on plans to improve our performance in the field of sustainability. The first changes are set to be implemented in 2022. We will also be expanding the Ecovadis certification to the other divisions of our company in 2022.

Losberger De Boer joins United Nations Global Compact
Also in 2021, Losberger De Boer has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. This initiative is meant to let companies align their strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption, as well as to take actions that advance societal goals.
The UN Global Compact also facilitates platforms that support companies in taking action to improve their sustainability, while also inspiring new and leading approaches to driving their business in a more environmentally friendly way. As a member of this group of front runners on sustainable business practices, Losberger De Boer fully supports the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, as well as the climate goals it has set in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Companies that join the global Construct, accept a shared responsibility in achieving a better world and taking better care of our planet, and commit themselves to implementing the Ten Principles in their day-to-day business. In our view, membership of this platform is a must for multinational companies that are truly dedicated to adopting a sustainable approach as an integral part of their operations.
CSR Report
In Q1 of 2022, we will launch our first CSR Report for the Rental division. Simply put, this report will allow you to follow us in our journey towards achieving the four major targets we have set for ourselves. We will publish this report on our website and social media. In future, the CSR report will be expanded to include the other divisions.
