The Premier double-decker structure (15 × 25 m), placed right next to the field, was extended with an AluVista hall (15 × 25 m) as the upper floor, giving guests in the open VIP area a perfect view of the thrilling title matches. Thanks to two spacious terraces, VIPs could also follow the action outdoors. Three additional suites on the ground floor provided more space for exclusive guests. The over 40,000 other visitors also enjoyed LDB's space solutions: A Reece Australia shop and the Škoda exhibition area on the ground floor invited them to browse and shop.
An Exciting Competition
After 12 years and 5 European Championships abroad, the lineup of eight women's and eight men's teams returned to Mönchengladbach. With a capacity of over 9,000 spectators, two artificial turf fields, and a powerful floodlight system, Europe's most modern field hockey stadium offered ideal conditions for the competitions. Exactly 40 hard-fought matches later, both the Dutch women’s and men’s teams won the tournament, once again bringing the title back to the hockey-loving kingdom.
For all involved, it was a heartfelt mission to bring world-class hockey back to Mönchengladbach. To ensure the event's success from the outset, choosing the right partner was key. A Perfect Shot
Quite literally, there was a direct hit: during training, the German men’s team sent a ball flying off the field and straight into the glass door of one of the temporary structures. We like to think this shot was a good omen for the success of the event!
